Micron Technology, Inc. Intern - ETD Software Engineer in Boise, Idaho

As a Software Development Engineer Intern at Micron you will configure, develop, maintain and support internally developed Micron and third party applications. You will work with current Technology Development Software Engineers who help create and support current applications and will practice Agile methodology on existing projects or a new project.
For this role we are also looking for an emphasis on Data Science or Computer Vision. You will need strong software development skills and have taken classes or done side projects related to computer vision or data science related fields.
In this role, you will create and analyze software specifications, and research, design, document, modify, and support software throughout the development life cycle. You must also demonstrate the functional and technical skills necessary to switch between development technologies and merge them to deliver the best solution. Great team members have a proven track record to create quality software and participate in quality improvement efforts. You will provide solutions that create business value while at the same time minimizing negative impact through defects, downtime, or performance degradation.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Collect requirements from customer requests
Design, develope, debug, document, test, and deploy applications
Collaborate with other developers on the team
Work closely with Business Operation Teams, Product and Application Development teams, and other internal customers during application development and deployment
Train users on the use and maintenance of new applications
Implement 3rd party solutions and partner with the IT Procurement representative to determine contracts, support requirements, training provided, etc.
Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related computer programs. Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, mobile apps or desktop applications products.
Use current programming language and technologies, writes code, complete programming, and perform testing/debugging of applications.
Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
May interact with users to define system requirements and/or vital modifications.
Education:
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Must be continuing education in Fall of 2025
