As the Front End Global Procurement (GP) Capital Category Director at Micron Technology Inc., you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the global vision and management of the Front End (FE) Capital Category to deliver value through development of category strategies, cost optimization, and strategic supplier relationships! You will contribute to meeting category performance goals and optimizing performance by collaborating with internal and external customers to build and implement global category strategies aligned to corporate strategic objectives!
What’s Encouraged Daily:
You will establish and supervise performance metrics and lead all aspects of FE Capital Category metrics to identify and implement continual improvement opportunities. You will collaborate with team members to deliver strategic solutions and with all Category Directors to coordinate approach to cross-category vendors and key strategic suppliers. You will maintain close interaction with suppliers and internal business partners to ensure category-related needs are addressed while encouraging a customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement.
Other responsibilities include ensuring department compliance to company policies and regulations, as well as departmental procedures. You will provide leadership for building and implementing Global Procurement strategies, processes, and policy through active oversight of functional teams and projects, and mentor functional leaders through collaboration and the development of sustainably successful solutions. You will also be responsible for conveying corporate business initiatives, providing direction thereof, and driving a clear understanding of line of site within your team
How To Qualify:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience or Business Administration/Management or Engineering
Masters Degree in Business Administration/Management Engineering preferred
Professional Certification in related field (i.e. APICS, PMI)
1 year experience in any of the following:
High level of business experience and training (MBA or equivalent) preferred
Familiarity with technologies related to categories under director
Communication and relationship building skills
Multiple years’ experience in a Global Category Manager type role
Executive level, strategic mentality
Strong cross-functional skills
Desired of 10 years experience in any of the following: International BusinessSemiconductor Business
