This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY office.

The compensation for this position is $22 - $26 hourly based on experience.

This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.

Position Summary:

The primary function of theFacilities Mechanic Bis to complete scheduled maintenance work and preventative maintenance tasks with written and verbal instructions to maintain and repair the plant facilities as well as building and production.

Key Position Accountabilities:

  • Maintain, repair or install plumbing (Water, Nitrogen, Compressed Air etc.) and electrical services.

  • Completes all of the required skills to build, fabricate, repair and modify walls, partitions, workbenches and cubicles in production and office areas.

  • Completes preventative maintenance tasks for building and equipment related tasks.

  • Collects chemical wastes and distributes new supplies to manufacturing locations.

  • Required to drive company vehicles locally and report any infractions that would limit the ability to operate a company issued vehicle.

  • The ability to operate the necessary hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.

  • Basic knowledge in the Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical and/or Construction Trades.

  • Technical, vocational or armed forces training preferred.

  • Valid Driver-s License

  • Any combination of education, training and experience listed above that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Work Environment:

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

  • This position requires access to a cleanroom environment. In order to promote an environment with a low level of airborne environmental pollutants employees must at all times adhere to all established cleanroom procedures.

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

  • Wears Safety Toe Shoes and all required Personal Protective Gear required for the task assigned.

  • Lifting/moving - Must be able to properly move up to 80 pounds.
