Dow has a great opportunity asDigital Sales Specialistbased inBogota(COL).Responsible for growing and nurturing customer relationships by selling new and existing product, as well as generating new customers, through a fully digitalized customer experience. Accountable for processes and tasks inherent in the sales process, including actioning leads and onboarding new customers, educating and positioning customers to partner with Dow through digital channels, and leveraging industry & product knowledge to drive sales. This position typically handles a small to medium sized customer portfolio consisting of foundational customers, while prospecting new ones. Scope typically includes accounts in a single country or across a limited number of countries and can be market segment specific or cross market segments. The role works under the guidance of a Sales Leader and in close collaboration with other experienced team members in Sales and Marketing. It can be an entry level position for university graduates with no to little job-related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop customer pipeline, adding new foundational customers and developing existing customers to ‘Target Growth’.

  • Build strong customer relationships through digital channels and virtual partnership.

  • Act as Dow.com ambassador and drive adoption of the platform with customers. Initial Dow.com account set-up for newly onboarded customers.

  • Lead price/volume negotiations with customers; engage internal partners as needed.

  • Maintain and update all pricing in Smartprice.

  • Communicate product availability and lead times; troubleshoot availability challenges.

  • Guide customers regarding options within the defined Service Offering Framework.

  • Gather high-level market intelligence and customer insights; share within Dow.

  • Lead & Opportunity Management.

  • Generate, triage, route and develop leads and close opportunities in line with L&OM guidelines.

  • Maintain and update CRM and internal tools.

  • Digital Tools & Platforms.

  • Obtain and maintain customer forecasts in OMP.

  • Monitor sales vs. Forecast/plan through digital tools and take action accordingly.

  • Communicate changes in sales forecasts to Product Management and Supply Chain.

  • Be an early adopter of new technology, support testing for optimizing commercial tools.

  • Participate in Sales, Product/Marketing strategy calls to obtain business and pricing guidelines.

  • Participate in annual review of Channel purchasing strategy (direct/distribution) and segmentation.

  • Support Order to Cash process to ensure correct invoicing and timely payment collection.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Solid negotiation and sales tactics.

  • General understanding of products and product application rules.

  • Understanding of business and financial interdependencies (cost, freight, margin, etc.).

  • Proactive hunter with ‘owner’s mindset’ & cold calling skills; self-driven and efficient.

  • Technologically savvy & data driven, early adopter of new technology.

  • Proficiency in CRM, DSR, SmartPrice, Dow.com, Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, fluency in English (verbally and in writing).
