McDermott Document Control Assistant in Boden, Sweden
Job Overview:
The Document Controller has established the skills to perform various day-to-day activities. The Document Controller can recognize and solve typical General Services problems with limited supervisory approval. They are tasked with evaluating and selecting solutions from established options. Their work directly impacts their team through the quality of the services or information provided.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Document Management lead in completing the day-to-day project activities
Gain experience in the following work area: iDocs
Develop basic technical skills to complete assigned work
Accurately track, log, and distribute releases of both internal and external documentation, including metadata
Archive project records
Index and distribute project documents in an accurate and timely manner
Become familiar with pertinent aspects of the contract and Project Information Management Requirements
Reads and implements project-specific information management procedures and work instructions
Identify information management issues or areas of improvement
Reports to:
Project: Lead Document Management
Functional: Department Manager
Liaise with: Lead Document Management, Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Department Manager
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in any stream or equivalent diploma (preferably in Computer Science)
3 years min Document Management experience with major contractor or consultant
Good knowledge of Electronic Database Management System (EDMS) software, MS Office, and Adobe
Good command of English (both verbal and in writing)
Experience with the use of EDMS
Experience with the use of MS Office
Hands-on experience in EPC project execution in the Oil and Gas contracting industry
Experience in multi-office project execution (MOPEX)
