Actalent Plumbing Designer in Boca Raton, Florida
Job Description:
our client is currently seeking a Plumbing Designer to join their team. This designer will support a variety of project types, including residential homes, apartments, condos, industrial, commercial, retail, restaurants, fire stations, religious facilities, and more. This person will work in an office of 10+ engineering professionals, with guidance and leadership from experienced engineers and designers.
Responsibilities:
Assist engineers in the design process by developing plans, developing sections and elevations, redline markups, and evaluating shop drawings.
Perform calculations, size equipment/piping, BIM clash detection and resolution
Work both independently and with team members on design projects, including inter-discipline coordination.
Provide oversight, training, and mentoring to less experienced designers
Qualifications:
2+years of experience performing production work for an engineering consulting firm.
Prefer experience in plumbing. Experience with Mechanical for buildings is a must.
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering preferred, but would consider an experienced CAD Designer.
Must be proficient in AutoCAD or Revit
