Robert Half Medical Receptionist in Boca Raton, Florida

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity in Boca Raton, Florida for a Medical Receptionist. This role operates within the healthcare industry and involves managing front desk operations of a medical office. The successful candidate will be expected to assist with scheduling, handle referrals, manage patient visits, and obtain necessary paperwork.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate patient scheduling, ensuring efficient and accurate appointments.

• Assist with handling patient referrals, coordinating with other healthcare providers as needed.

• Facilitate patient visits, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all visitors.

• Obtain and manage necessary paperwork for patient visits, maintaining accurate and organized records.

• Utilize MS Office and industry-specific computer systems effectively, maintaining technological savvy in daily operations.

• Leverage skills in credit administration and administrative assistance to support office operations.

• Exercise patience and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and team members.

• Handle phone calls professionally, providing information, taking messages, or directing calls as appropriate.

• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

• Support other administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth and efficient office operations. Requirements • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.

• Must have strong knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.

• Proficiency in using computers and software applications for data entry and patient management.

• Demonstrated skills in Credit Administration and Administrative Assistance.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

• Knowledge of patient scheduling and phone triage.

• Familiarity with health insurance plans and patient billing is beneficial.

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

• Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities and tasks.
