Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Boca Raton, Florida

Description We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the Financial Services industry based in Boca Raton, Florida. This role focuses on managing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify invoices and payment requests in systems such as Concur Invoice and MS Dynamics GP.

• Ensure proper approvals are obtained through Concur and other relevant systems.

• Code and allocate invoices in accordance with established guidelines.

• Prepare and perform check/ACH payments and post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain vendor files.

• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Produce monthly reports and assist with month-end closing procedures.

• Provide supporting documentation for audits when required.

• Use data entry skills to maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Requirements • Possesses a minimum of 2 years of experience in the role of Accounts Payable Clerk or similar financial services role.

• Demonstrates proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP).

• Has experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices.

• Is adept in Data Entry and Invoice Processing.

• Shows competency in using Microsoft Excel.

• Has practical experience with Oracle and QuickBooks.

• Familiarity with SAP and MS Great Plains Accounting is a plus.

• Experience with Concur Expense is desirable.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Exhibits strong communication skills, both oral and written.

• Shows attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Has the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field is preferred.
