Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Boca Raton, Florida


We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Coordinator with experience in a multi-family real estate development and/or asset management setting. Working from our Corporate Headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida, this position will be providing financial, administrative, and clerical services to the Asset Accounting team. The ideal candidate will be experienced and confident with Yardi software, expertly manage multiple tasks at a time, and provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally.

This is a full-time, salaried (exempt) position reporting to the Controller of Asset Accounting.   • Properly code all invoices for approval and payment.

  • Confirm proper documentation and charges are in accordance with purchase order and/or contracts.

  • Manage and confirm all vendors have been set up properly, including W-2 submissions.

  • Enter data into Yardi with accuracy, speed, and precision.

  • Produce timely and accurate vendor payments and submissions for signature.

  • Ensure all critical payments are made in timely manner; to include utilities, taxes, etc.

  • Oversee and maintain 1099s for all required properties.

  • Update all vendor databases.

  • Assist Controller with monthly draws.

  • Partner proactively with property management team to resolve open accounting issues.

  • Research and handle vendor inquiries and disputes.

  • Formulate ad hoc analysis as needed by accountants.

  • Organize and maintain online documents, files, records, and shared drives.

  • Respond to phone calls in a pleasant manner and efficiently resolve inquiries

  • General A/P duties, as assigned


· Minimum of two-years’ experience with Accounts Payable in a real estate development setting

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, preferred

· Proficiency with Yardi, Excel and Outlook

· Experience with job cost/Payscan

· Must be able to work independently with excellent organizational skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to collaborate with others across the organization

Requirements - 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
