Job Title: A/V Installation Technician

Position Summary: The A/V Installation Technician will be responsible for the professional installation, configuration, and maintenance of audio-visual systems in commercial settings. You will work with a wide range of equipment, including control systems, DSPs, digital signage, video walls, analog and IP based audio/video distribution systems, and more. This position offers opportunities for both experienced technicians and individuals who are willing to train and develop their skills under the guidance of our expert team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and calibrate audio-visual equipment, including televisions, sound systems, projectors, displays, control systems, and networking equipment.
  • Ensure proper wiring and setup of devices, ensuring a clean, safe, and functional installation.
  • Conduct system diagnostics, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure installations are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Provide on-site training to clients on the use and maintenance of their new A/V systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and support for existing systems, including upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Experienced Technicians:

  • Previous experience in A/V installation, audio systems, video systems, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with common A/V components, cabling techniques, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Strong knowledge of audio and video calibration, system integration, and configuration.
  • Ability to work with power tools and hand tools safely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Certification in relevant A/V technologies (e.g., CTS, CEDIA, or similar) is a plus.

Entry-Level / Willing to Train:

  • No prior experience required, but a strong interest in technology and A/V systems is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the field with hands-on training.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Requirements:

  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
  • Flexibility to work occasional out of town installations lasting on average 5-8 days.
