Element Materials Technology Senior Benefits Manager - Americas in Blue Ash, Ohio

Overview

OurHRTeamis currently seeking anexperienced  Senior Benefits Manager Americas .Thisnewly created rolewillberesponsible forleadingthe benefitsteam, putting the employee experience at the center.

Specifically, you willbe responsible forfacilitatingthestrategy,designand administration of Elementsbenefitsofferings, to ensure Element is competitive in the market, and providesworld-classexperienceforour employees. You will also support in the due diligence and integration of newlyacquiredcompanies as Element plans to double in size within the next 5 years.

This role will report directly to theDirector, HR OperationsAmericas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the deliveryand implementationof employee benefit programsin the US and Canada,includingretirement, health and welfare,life insurance,leave of absence,andother value-addplans,

  • Ensure compliance of U.S.& Canadabenefit programs with regulations, including HIPAA, COBRA, ACA reporting, benefits Non-Discrimination Testing, and other national and local regulatory filings, legal disclosures, and benefits notices.

  • Monitor and reconcile data betweensystemsand benefits vendorsacross US & Canadato ensure accuracy across all platforms.

  • Serve asElementbenefitssubject matter expert.

  • Leadtheopenenrollment processesensuring employee experience is smooth and seamless.

  • Manageall relevant renewals process such as external vendors, brokers, benefit plan providers etc.

  • Research and resolve escalated issues from third-party vendors, HR, or employees.

  • Identifyopportunities for process improvements and make recommendations to increase efficiency.

  • Lead implementation of any changes and additions to benefit offerings.

  • Review contractual terms and service level agreements of third-party providers to ensure they best meet Elementneeds.Whereappropriate, develop preferred provider relationships with third party providers to save costs and improve service.

  • Work closely with key benefits brokers in US &Canada.

  • Keep abreast of developments in the external market to ensure the Elementofferingremainscontemporary and enables the attraction and retention of talent in a cost-effective way.

  • Working with the HR M&A function and external vendors asappropriate, support the due diligence of new acquisition, to include compliance of benefit plans,benchmarkingagainst Element plans, and provide analysis and recommendationsregardingintegration.

  • Working with the HR and Corporate Communications team, manage allBenefitscommunications to employees.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 7+ years of corporatebenefits experience

  • Experience leading abenefits team orbeing responsible forbenefits in the US and Canada

  • Experience with all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuringappropriate governanceand controls

  • Highproficiencyin Microsoft Officetools

  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills; able to understand the big picture while also delving into system configurations and data file contents, as the needs require.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, working comfortably with ambiguity and with a high sense of urgency.

  • Resilient and able to respond under pressure

  • Strong project management skills

  • Able to work autonomously & provide independent opinions

Desired Qualifications

  • Experiencein leading or supportingBenefitsin Canada

  • Experience with Dayforce(Ceridian)Benefits Administration

  • Experience in leading or supporting Benefits inMexico
