Description
Robert Half has a direct hire opportunity for a Accounting and Finance Manager in the Blue Ash, OH area.
Position Overview:
As the Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of our organization. You will lead a large team of accounting professionals, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in managing complex accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, including accountants, analysts, and clerks.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline accounting processes.
Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and development.
Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry trends, and communicate implications to senior management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 6 years in a managerial or supervisory role within the financial services industry, responsible for managing a large team.
Thorough understanding of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve results.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite; experience with ERP systems preferred.
