We are moving our headquarters to Eagan in 2025! This role is based at our current HQ in Bloomington but will move to Eagan in 2025.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will provide a lead electrical design role on a wide variety of projects with a focus on Solar/Renewable projects. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail will be required. This role will provide project design leadership and will interact with various departments within the company as well as with other disciplines outside of the company.
Primary responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
The ability to take a lead role with regards to designing photovoltaic (PV) systems on projects from inception to completion.
Creating/oversight of the development of electrical drawings for construction.
Work with the preconstruction teams on early concept design development.
Provide layouts for both ground mount and roof mounted PV arrays.
Design NEC compliant Interconnection documents.
Complete application submittals for electrical utility companies.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment within design/construction project teams.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum two (2) year degree in electrical design for construction or similar
Basic knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Experience with Revit software a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to meet daily deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter and able to work independently and in team environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines
Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
This position may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
