HealthPartners Senior Project Manager, Health Plan in Bloomington, Minnesota
HealthPartners is currently hiring for a Senior Project Manager, Health Plan. The project manageroversees projects that advance HealthPartners' strategic and annual health plan goals, growth opportunities and priorities. It is responsible for the delivery and management of key initiatives within HealthPartners' Health Plan, and in collaboration with business leaders and project sponsors, identifies project scope, goals, and critical success factors. The project manager partners with senior leadership and project management peers to appropriately allocate resources within and across projects, evaluate the effectiveness of projects, and define efforts to improve. It also navigates obstacles and defines project plans that help the organization succeed and collaborates closely with other project managers in the health plan and across the broader organization. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, health care, or related field, or extensive experience in project/program management Three (3) years of health plan industry experience and/or experience in a directly related field Five (5) years of demonstrated project leadership experience. Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines and budget parameters. Demonstrated critical thinking skills through evaluation, analysis, creative solutions and marshalling of resources to implement adopted plans. Excellent communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to form good working relationships with people at all levels. Thinks broadly, identifying and understanding implications to the entire organization. Knowledge of resource allocation procedures Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, including outlook, word, excel, PowerPoint, Internet searching. Hours/Location: M-F; Days May work in a hybrid capacity and will regularly be onsite at the Bloomington corporate office on Tuesdays/Wednesdays. Additional onsite days may be necessary based upon work needs. Responsibilities: (10%) Manage and oversee projects that advance HealthPartners' health plan strategic and annual goals, growth opportunities and priorities. Responsible for delivery and management of key initiatives within HealthPartners Health Plan. Seeks to understand business needs, opportunities, and scope projects that will advance key health plan strategies. (10%) Makes connections across teams working on related projects and establishes proper communication channels to effectively manage the interdependencies of collaborative work. Must anticipate and manage their interdependencies and at times lead in partnership with other health plan project managers and key leaders. (10%) Identifies the project scope, goals, and critical success factors in consultation with health plan business leaders and sponsors. Works closely with senior health plan leaders to define projects needed for success, including leading prioritization, resource allocation and budget processes. (10%) Develops and maintains project documentation, charters, work plans, and deliverables utilizing consistent project methodology and tools. Plan, track and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Tracks and communicates project milestones and deliverables. (10%) Proactively provides project updates and status to keep the project team informed at all phases of the project. Has the ability to create meaningful reporting and presentations to communicate project status. (10%) Ensure that all team members have the required information and resources to conduct their tasks effectively. (10%) Builds reports to help manage projects, resource assignments, delivery on KPIs, and capacity levels. (10%) Provide operational assistance and/or leadership for project work. (10%) Provides guidance on project issues and difficulties and is effective at leading project review and recovery. Proactively identifies issues or roadblocks and defin s actionable steps needed to address them in current and future project efforts. (10%) Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of operations and services utilizing a team approach.
