Children's Home and Aid Cook's Assistant (Afternoon Hours) in Bloomington, Illinois

The Cook's Assistant will primarily be responsible for the sanitation and clean up following the lunch hour at the Scott Child and Family Center, as well as preparing for the next day and closing down the kitchen. The Cook's Assistant may also be responsible for assisting with snack preparation as well as the overall upkeep of the kitchen.
Candidate qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic skills in reading, writing, and budgeting required.
At least one year of cooking experience required.
Completion of Food Sanitation Program required, or the ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
Demonstrated understanding of the nutritional needs of children and adults preferred.
Job details:
Compensation: Range starts at $16.00/hr; offers are commensurate with experience.

Schedule: Part-time, hourly; late morning to early afternoon.
