Responsibilities include:
Drive or control heavy equipment like bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, skid steers, loaders and haul trucks to move materials, load trucks and work an active mine site.
Preparing sites
Help prepare mining pit for the blast team then prepare shot rock for crushing into finished product. Stack, load and handle finidhed crushed stone products.
Maintaining equipment
Inspect equipment before and after use, clean tracks when needed, grease fittings when required.
Following MSHA safety protocols
Comply with company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
