8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. Rate of Pay: Starts at $17.00/hr Type of Work: Light Packaging & Cleaning Position Summary: Golden Boy Foods, a member of the 8th Avenue Food and Provisions Family, is a leading Manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of private label food products. We supply Nut butters to leading grocery retailers, top food service distributors, and industrial bakeries across North America. Our Blaine, WA location has an opening for Operator I. The position will be filled by candidates who can consistently maintain a good attendance record and meet production standards while operating manufacturing equipment within a Food Manufacturing facility. A focus on health and safety and food safety are key.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Before startup - checks equipment and work area to ensure safety and sanitation conditions are ready for use. Assembles and disassembles equipment for sanitation purposes. Setup and adjust Equipment for production runs. Based upon line speed, adjusts equipment to meet specifications, and periodically checks product to ensure specifications are met. Perform all quality checks assigned to each position on the production line. Coordinate with other departments when needed to ensure the flow of the packaging materials and raw materials meet line needs. Maintain and properly rotate inventory for proper FIFO. Maintain records and compile reports as required for production and quality. Assist with and perform changeovers and/or adjustments on machines within area of responsibility. Read and interpret packaging specifications, schedules, pallet configurations, code date formats, and all customer specifications. Other duties, as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Must be capable of reading and writing. Must be capable of performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Must have the ability to understand simple oral and written communication. Must be able to work shifts, overtime, and weekends when required.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

1+ Years in Food Manufacturing High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift to 50 pounds. Must be able to climb ladders and / or stairs for 4+ hours per shift. Must be able to stand for 6+ hours per shift. Must be able to walk for 6+ hours per shift. Must be able to reach and grasp up to 6 hours per shift.
