Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform all final product-testing operations in accordance with established procedures and customer specifications.
Tests involve the operational testing under pressure of hydraulic and pneumatic products of all types and sizes and include the documentation of test results on all "specials," i.e., tests specified by the customer.
Inspects products - company to customer specifications. Insure proper assembly, port and cushion location and operation, piston rod travel and operation free of binding.
In addition, position will be responsible for preparing, painting and routing cylinders through the shipping department. Involves mixing and spraying special and standard paints and final inspection of product--paint finish, order completeness, correct parts/accessories.
The chosen candidate must be willing to be flexible throughout the entire Assembly Department (helping to cover absences/vacations).
Perform other duties as required.
Background & Skills
Qualifications:
Must be able to read blueprints and test specifications.
Must be able to read, write, count, and follow special paint instructions, as well as read standard inspection tools and understand router process sheets.
Must be able to move as least 30 pounds in difficult work positions and attain assistance for product weighing greater than 30 pounds.
Preferred:
One year related hydraulic testing experience
Experience with engineering test equipment
One year of spray-painting experience
