From value chain to production planning

As aSenior Production Plannerat Grundfos in Bjerringbro, you will be responsible for production planning in your own production area. Here, you spend the majority of your time on planning our production capacities and communicating with internal customers within Grundfos. The aim is to balance the customers' needs with the production capacity and the ability of our suppliers, so that we can continue to deliver high customer service. Therefore, as a Senior Production Planner, you play an essential role in balancing demand and supply with material availability, and ultimately ensure what is best for the entire value chain. To support this, an important part of your job will be to handle exceptions and reassessing the schedule when necessary.

In addition to the daily management of the planning, you will have the responsible to optimize the planning processes in your area, according to the best practice in Grundfos. Additionally, you will monitor and challenge current inventory levels to comply with the common goal to reduce inventory in the value chain. This is where your competencies related to lean and process optimization will come into play. Predefined Key Process Indicators (KPIs) indicate whether the inventory and planning processes are in control, and based on deviations it is expected that you, as the Senior Production Planner, make simple data analysis and based on the findings interact with customer, purchasers, the warehouse and the production to get back on track.

What is the job about?

On a daily basis, you sit among 9 colleagues in our Supply Chain Planning department in the Electronics factory located in Bjerringbro. We have offices in direct extension of the production, which provides good opportunities for close collaboration when you help to ensure that your planning is executed.

In the department, we each have our own areas of responsibility, but we have a common goal and are good at working together. We have a strong collaboration and help each other both with everyday challenges and long-term projects. You will be greeted by a professional environment with an informal tone, where jokes during the day help to create a positive working environment.

Your background

You have a mathematical approach and a good understanding of planning. In addition, you have knowledge of internal logistics and planning in a production company, which also involves material and stock management. You are good at mapping work processes and use your structured approach in your daily work. With a continuous improvement mentality you can execute simple data analysis in Excel, identify room for improvement and implement necessary changes in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

We are open to different backgrounds and experiences– but we imagine that you:

• have an office educationwithexperience with production planningor a bachelor’s degree within logistic or supply chain.

• have at least a few years of experience with SAP. Preferable SAP PP, the Production Planning module.

•write and speak both Danish and English, so you can respond to foreign customer inquiries.
