Oracle FSGIU has created the position for a Director of Payments to further support progressive transformation of payments processing in the United States.

Job Description:

In this role you will work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for US Payments. As a member of the product strategy team for Oracle Banking solutions, you will contribute to the definition of product specifications and strategy to enable complete payments capabilities for our solution especially for Automated Clearing House (ACH), Fedwire, check inclearing, remote deposit capture, peer-to-peer (P2P) payments, ISO 20022 standards, real time payments (RTP), and Payment Hub. Knowledge of compliance, formatting and market trends around these products is required as you will need to define product specifications around functionality and compliance.

You will also be required to support sales and pre-sales teams in business development opportunities. You will need to initiate and foster relationships with other groups to ensure a holistic development of the payment rails offered. You will also review product documentation and collateral to ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent high quality and innovative leadership on payments solutions by interacting with various stakeholders within Oracle and partners / clients when necessary

  • Be an expert on US payments and a trusted advisor to the product organization by effectively influencing decisions across all software development life cycle stages.

  • Analyze and understand ACH, Fedwire, check inclearing, remote deposit capture, P2P interfaces, ISO 20022 standards, RTP, and Payment Hub, including formatting and compliance practices. Have in depth knowledge of compliance, formatting, standards and market practice for the payments mentioned.

  • Translate the above payments areas into business requirement documents for development.

  • Knowledge of teller operations and experience with integration of the payments ecosystem would be an added advantage

  • Effectively apply Oracle’s methodologies, policies, and procedures.

  • Develop and deliver high quality presentations and demonstrations, present and articulate product features, and benefits, and configure and test the overall solution that delight prospects and clients

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders, partners, customers, and senior management.

  • Require business, product, technology, or industry expertise relevant to payments

  • Effectively manage budget, scope, schedule, resources, and quality throughout development by analyzing factors that influence outcomes such as risk, issues, and dependencies.

  • Plan, manage and communicate the progress of projects, project achievements and maintain project status.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and compliance with internal processes and procedures.

  • Support the business development effort for new & expansion opportunities through scoping, solutioning & presentations.

  • Promote knowledge by sharing lessons learned, innovations or new skills with team members

Ideal Candidate should have the following qualifications/skills:

  • Experience in the areas of payments processing with financial institutions in senior roles (10+ years)

  • Detailed knowledge of compliance and regulations related to US payment rails

  • Experience working with banking software development teams in different stages of software development

  • Proficient in writing and updating documents that translate functional and regulatory requirements into business requirement documents that can be readily understood by developers and software product managers.

  • Skilled in delivering clear outcome-based targets and measures by working with a strong sense of urgency in getting the job done

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $115,400 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
