This position oversees the implementation of Company Environmental and Safety Management Systems, as well as the approach for how the Company's Management systems will be executed within the facilities.

This position will provide expert management of the overall Environment, Health and Safety program across the whole of Manufacturing at Bournville and actively driving the implementation of and monitoring progress against a site plan and corresponding objectives.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Be responsible for coordinating of all Environment, Health & Safety programs and processes.

  • Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non conformances.

  • Provide Health & Safety expertise for the plant for all new projects and change management activities.

  • Follow up on non-conformances and develop the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis.

  • Understand relevant technical requirements in Environment, Health & Safety and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Company Policies.

  • Ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted and follow ups implemented to minimize or eliminate accidents or asset losses that might cause harm to one of the company’s employees, contractors or property.

  • Facilitate implementation of corrective and preventative actions where required for EHS.

  • Ensure the facility standards are in compliance with both Company and government regulations.

  • Ensure training and coaching are taking place to drive a safety-perfect culture and to ensure Health & Safety standards and awareness are well understood throughout the plant organization.

  • Be a lead for culture change and drive behavioural safety as a way of life. Be the lead in driving this behavior in all levels of the site – including PLT (plant leadership team).

  • Ensure that Contractors permanently based on site have robust Environment, Health and Safety procedures and systems developed in line with Mondelez expectations.

  • Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position to lead ethically and model compliant behavior and maintain an environment where employees can speak up and raise issues without fear of retaliation.

  • Able to coach and assess standard owners for legal compliance and internal assessments.

What you will bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:

  • Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety preferably within FMCG/manufacturing

  • Tech savvy with experience of Windows and an ability to adapt to other systems as and when required

  • Some experience as a Health & Safety practitioner

  • Experience in auditing on ISO 14001 or similar global standards

  • Change Management / Project management experience (preferred)
