We are recruiting for an Internal Communications Manager who will work with the Europe and India Internal Communications team and will be responsible for supporting our Transportation business in communicating and engaging effectively within their teams and to the broader business.

You will lead the development of the internal communications strategy, along with providing strategic and tactical advice on effective internal communication and engagement within the Transportation business. Acting as a key trusted advisor and contact point (including stakeholder management) for members of the Transportation leadership team, you’ll have the confidence to challenge decisions in order to foster collaboration and drive success.

You’ll also be the co-ordinator and editor of news, stories, project wins, milestones, campaign content, events, internal newsletters and internal social media related to Transportation. You would be writing, editing, researching and curating stories from our Transportation team across UK, Ireland, Western Europe and India for use in a range of platforms, including company intranet (known as Ecosystem), emails / newsletters, internal social media platform, video clips / digital media, presentations, Local offices and events. In addition, you will work closely together with our marketing, external communications and creative teams to coordinate regional-wide campaigns.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Strategic Communications: Develop and lead the execution of a strategic communications plan that aligns with the Transportation business goals and objectives. This includes creating messaging frameworks, content strategies, and communication channels to effectively reach target audiences​​

  • Advisor to Leadership: Build strong relationships with senior leadership and serve as a trusted communications advisor. Provide strategic counsel on messaging, reputation management, and crisis communication.

  • Champion Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the Transportation team and across sectors. Challenge existing norms and processes to drive creativity and excellence in activity.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and prioritise key stakeholders, including employees and those that have an impact on the employee value proposition. Develop strategies to engage and build relationships with these groups.

  • Content Creation: Oversee the development of compelling and relevant content, including town halls, leadership communication, articles, internal social media updates, and other materials that align with Transportation messaging.

  • People Engagement: support in the people spotlights and promoting our Transportation Employee Value Proposition to existing employees and working with the TA marketing lead to support recruitment and staff attraction.

  • Strategic Marketing Campaigns: Working with sector marketing teams and discipline teams to provide internal communications support on key strategic marketing campaigns/priorities.

  • Company-wide Campaigns: Work closely with the Internal Communications team for Europe and India in support of regional delivery of company-wide communication campaigns providing specific Transportation content.

  • Elevating Transportation: Liaise with the Europe and India Marketing & Communications team to ensure end market content is showcased and promoted more broadly through all the relevant internal communications platforms. Liaise with the Transportation Global Business Lines to make sure Transportation Europe & India is well represented within the global business.

  • Digital Media: Bring new thinking and best practice into their work including the application of digital media.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Educated to degree level in Communications, Marketing or Journalism.

  • We are looking for someone with internal communications’ experience working within a large, preferably professional services, organisation.

  • Software skills: Good working knowledge of PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop and SharePoint (desirable).

  • Digital skills: Experience in delivering content through multi-media and digital platforms.

  • An understanding of the Transportation industry would be beneficial but not essential.
