Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance with all CBRE Processes and procedures. Ensure site is fulfilling the contract requirements and following client procedures without fail.

  • To deliver & ensure all Critical Facility PPMs are carried out to schedule and ensure completion of all reactive works requests ensuring closing and completion in line with SLA’s.

  • Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with CBRE H&S procedures, using the permit to work system where applicable and action improvements identified during the building and workplace inspections and reviews.

  • Able to apply a risk focused maintenance approach and operations of plant and systems in data centres/ critical environments.

  • Ensuring all critical client services, computer rooms, data networks, manufacturing and revenue earning services meet client requirements.

  • Provide emergency response standby, call out. Escalate urgent issues. Respond to work interruptions, outages, or emergencies consistent with the SLA.

  • Support critical environment related technical audits as required and directed by line manager.

  • Completion of records and logs required to demonstrate delivery of maintenance requirements.

  • Control and supervise contractors when required.

  • Raise recommendations for improvements through line manager.

  • Liaise with the CBRE QHSE specialist to ensure audit compliance as directed by line management.

  • Continually communicate high priority tasks issues to end users, client and CBRE Management team

  • Assist and enhance service delivery through best practice and the effective use of site systems and equipment.

  • Responsibility for own technical training requirements and development program including competency assessments, critical services training, and scenario training exercises.

  • Call out & regular paid overtime.

  • Train to become a full-fledged Electrical Technician and completion of 18th Edition.

  • Become a CBRE Authorized Person LV and potential for HV.

In addition, and in support of the Contract KPI’s and SLA’s you will be required to carry out all work-related requests in a timely manner as and when instructed to do so by your line manager in accordance with company rules and policies, this may require out of hours working and or call out cover for which remuneration in line with established payment schemes will be authorized.

Accountabilities

  • Reporting to the Contract Manger and Operations Manager.

  • Accountability to the CBRE Functional heads, as appropriate.

  • Accountable day-to-day to the relevant client contacts.

Experience Required

  • Understanding of Health and Safety requirement and be able to supervise contractors during works on site.

  • Must have experience in critical change management process and experience working in a critical environment.

  • Desirable - Appropriate knowledge of Health and Safety and environmental requirements related to delivery of the assigned tasks, including manual handling awareness, legionella awareness, PASMA, IPAF, asbestos awareness, roof working.

  • Desirable – holder of a level 3 or equivalent, work based and practically assessed building fabric related qualification, such as an NVQ, BTEC or apprenticeship in a building trade related subject area

  • Experience in managing sub-contractors, running permit to work system and being accountable for others safety.

  • Flexible working with the ability to manage own workloads.

  • Must have a clean driving license and be based within one hour from site.

  • Good working knowledge of Data Centers.

  • Self-motivated delivery of M&E tasks (both preventative and reactive).

  • Knowledge of emergency response / standby/ call out activities and protocols.

  • Working knowledge of F-Gas an advantage (F-Gas handling not required).

  • Be part of an on-call Rota to cover for emergences out of working hours and be able to respond within the one hour SLA.
