Position Description
The position will be responsible for leading the team that represents the South Region’s commercial interests on SNG, EEC and MEP. This team is responsible for pipeline transportation and storage capacity sales, managing and developing pipeline and storage services, interfacing with pipeline and storage shippers, and representing KM commercial interest on internal, cross-functional teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with account managers to provide customer support regarding SNG, EEC and MEP tariff and contracting questions
Provide oversight and direction to account managers
Oversee the sale of available capacity on SNG, EEC and MEP
Identify market opportunities and new services or enhancements
Work with other departments, like scheduling, operations, legal and gas control, to find solutions during maintenance, outages and periods of constraints
Assist business development in identifying needs, developing projects, and assisting in project implementation
Plan and direct annual Customer Meeting
Maintain and enhance customer relations through regular customer contact
Work with Houston group on Park and Loan opportunities
Work on ad hoc commercial related issues that arise regularly
Represent commercial on cross functional teams addressing issues and opportunities
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Education:
Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or another related technical degree; MBA or post graduate degree preferable
Experience / Specific Knowledge:
Understanding of the macro drivers of the natural gas industry and their effects on the Southeast market, including basis and drivers of spreads
An advanced knowledge of markets, operations and tariffs of SNG, EEC and MEP
An excellent working relationship with southeast gas market participants
At least 5 years of previous experience in Customer Service, Marketing, Business Development or a related area
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
Must possess a valid driver's license and passport, and must meet company insurability requirements
Must possess a working knowledge of various natural gas industry groups and organizations and participate as necessary
Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:
Middle level to high end computer skills (working knowledge of base MS Office products, advanced capabilities in MS Excel, Basic understanding and working knowledge of Operating systems, and other company software)
High level spreadsheet and analysis competency
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to develop Board level communications
Good public speaking and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with little supervision on complex projects
Ability to work with a team, focus attention on details, and follow work rules
