Corrections Officers work in city or county jails, ensuring the safety and security of inmates and staff. Duties include booking detainees, managing inmate transfers and releases, monitoring visitations, supervising work-release programs, and overseeing housekeeping activities. Officers enforce jail rules and ensure the health and safety of everyone in the facility. They work under close supervision, following strict policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Driver's license.
High school diploma or GED.
NO felony convictions.
NO convictions of a crime of moral turpitude or serious misdemeanor.
Typical Work Schedule: 8 or 12 hour shifts on any day including nights, weekends, and holidays (overtime as needed).
