MMC Group Manufacturing Associate in Binghamton, New York
Job Description: Performs basic manufacturing operations in which tasks are well established. Follows detailed and clearly defined procedures.Location: Binghamton, NY 13901Expected hours: 40 per weekPay: $16-$18hr (depending on Manufacturing experience). 10% pay differential for 2nd shift.Flexible Shifts: 4:00a - 10:00p - Monday through Friday (8hr and 10hr four days a week.) Start date: Immediate Start!!!Schedule: 40-hour work week between Monday through Friday 4 am to 10 pm; 8 hours per day 5 days per week or 10 hours per day 4 days per week; flexible work schedule. 2nd shift is available (10% added to base pay if interested in 2nd shift position)Training: will be conducted during 1st shift; 4-5 hours classroom training and then the rest on the job training for 2-6 weeks based on task and observation & absorption of material.Knowledge/Skills:•Ability to follow written manufacturing instructions and general specifications•Computer skills and use of computer programs•Ability to use a ruler•Ability to work with teammates and be a team player•Ability to follow directions•Ability to solder or be willing to learn to solder•Ability to work with their hands and stand for extended periods of time•Ability to use different programs for setups•Ability to understand different types of measurements•Ability to follow proper safety precautions•Ability to read and follow a process•Ability to understand the blueprint•Ability to take direction and work with leadership well•Ability to understand the process flow•Understand and effectively utilize desktop applications and manufacturing systems as requiredEducation/Experience:•High school or equivalent preferred•Basic reading, writing, and math skills•Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingDuties/Responsibilities: (Position Specific):•Operate and certify on at least two non-complex operations/processes•Performs operations as defined by specifications•Achieve productivity standards•Achieve quality targets•Is accountable for individual results•Adheres to established safety practices, environmental management and quality systems requirementsPhysical/Environmental Requirements:•Requires visual acuity (visual ability to resolve fine detail) and manual dexterity (fine hand and finger movements)•Requires limited supervision for routine processes, can implement changes with detailed instruction•Must be available for overtime work•Must be able to stand for periods of up to 4 hours•Must be able to lift at least 10lbs frequently; up to 35lbs occasionally, and heavier weights with assistance•Must be able to wear required safety protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes and glasses•Must be able to work with or around chemicalsBenefits:•401(k)•Dental insurance•Health insurance•Vision insuranceExperience:•Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)•Warehouse: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: In person
