Job Description:

As a Test Team Lead at L3Harris you are part of the program team which strives to, not only meet, but exceed our customers’ expectations. This position is for a test team lead who is self-motivated and leads their team by exemplifying a positive approach, strong work ethic, and taking ownership and accountability for their work.

Essential Functions:

  • The Test Team Lead performs weekly/monthly Cost Account Management (CAM) reviews with IPTs and is responsible for technical, cost, and schedule performance for the test engineering content on a program.

  • Participate in all phases of system design, including requirements definition

  • Lead all test effort; system tests, acceptance tests, configuration, scheduling, and customer interface

  • Write test plans, conduct tests, document results, and ensure discrepancy resolution

  • Manages discrepancy review boards

  • Monitor and control testing aspects of the program for cost, schedule and technical issues

    Qualifications: (refer to Career Framework)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences

  • 3+ years leadership experience,

  • Minimum nine years plus of prior technical, project experience with both Traditional and Agile Program Execution methods working as a leader, developer, or technologist.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Avionics technician with experience working with Technical Orders

  • Knowledge of different testing methodologies (e.g., White/Gray/Black box testing)

  • Prior Military Experience

  • Experience interfacing with customers and end users

  • Ability to explain technical concerns to customer

  • Self-motivated to address, evaluate, and if necessary, correct testing concerns

  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and the associated environment

  • Excellent communication skills including written, interpersonal and team communication abilities

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance within a six-year investigation period

  • Flexibility to support occasional overtime, weekend work, shift work and site travel (CONUS)
