Keystone Material Testing, LLC Environmental Field Technician in Binghamton, New York

Keystone Environmental Services (KES), a division of Keystone Material Testing, LLC, is seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Field Technician to join our established team in Binghamton, New York. You will be responsible for collecting environmental samples and data to support our consulting projects. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized individual with a strong work ethic and experience in field data collection.Responsibilities-Perform hazardous building material inspections for asbestos, lead-based paint, and PCBs-Ensure proper collection of soil, air, water and bulk samples as required by various regulatory agencies, complete data sheets, chain of custody forms and prepare samples for shipment to laboratory for analysis-Operate and maintain instruments including sampling pumps and calibrators-Maintain accurate daily logs of activities related to project field work-Follow all OSHA safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with hazardous materials-Travel to and from various job sitesRequirements and Qualifications-High school diploma or equivalent-Minimum 1 year of experience in environmental field work or related field preferred but will train ideal candidate-Knowledge of applicable regulations and safety standards-Strong observational skills and attention to detail-Ability to work independently and as part of a team-Ability to safely carry and climb ladders, as well as proficiency in using both hand and power tools-Be able to wear a respirator, safety harness and other safety equipment as needed-Valid New York State Driver’s License and willingness to travel to various project sites

Minimum Salary: 42,000 Maximum Salary: 48,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
