Core Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain web solutions end-to-end to build best in class solutions

• Build efficient and reusable applications and services using JavaScript, TypeScript – React / Next.js / AWS serverless stack)

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver both new functionality and iterative improvements to the team’s product

• Bring your curiosity to explore emerging technologies and methods, seeing opportunities that can help us improve and move our solutions to the next level.

• Active participation and contribution to team initiatives, knowledge sharing, and communities

• Create and apply security/privacy best ways of operating from ideation to production release and beyond.

• Ensure high quality and be a steward of the LEGO values that consumers expect from our brand.

AFOL and Family Technology is part of the Consumer and Creator Technology organization within Digital Technology. AFOL and Family Technology is responsible for creating consumer facing digital Products directed to our AFOLs, Families and grown.

As a Senior Engineer, you are also expected to drive, coach, and inspire the team through your passion and experience.

Our department is engineering, architecture, and product lead. We strive to remain in the lead when it comes to utilizing the cloud to its full potential, for instance, through serverless architecture.

You will work on experiences that will reach millions of consumers worldwide, and you will join a highly skilled international team that eats agility for breakfast and values individual talents and team spirit, where playing and having fun is an integrated part of working.

Do you have what it takes?

• Expert knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, APIs, and Markup

• Expert with modern frontend frameworks and associated tools such as React, less, scss, and Next.js

• Experience of working with optimizing front end performance for cross-browser compatibility

• Knowledge of consuming and providing APIs

• Knowledge of microservice architecture

In addition, we hope you also know about:

• Understanding Domain Driven Design and loosely coupled components.

• Curious about Cloud infrastructure setup related to web applications and services (e.g., DNS, CDN, Load balancing etc.)

• Curious about exploring new technologies and opportunities
