We are taking our sustainability agenda further in terms of safeguarding international human and labour rights as well as environmental topics from a legal point of view!

Join The IPR Entertainment Licensing & Merlin (IPRELM) team which is part of the global LEGO Group Legal Compliance & Risk Management team!

No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Core Responsibilities

Provide general legal support for the ongoing efforts of the LEGO Group to align with and enforce sustainability legislation e.g. the Minimum Safeguards required under the EU Taxonomy Regulation and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive.

More specifically, provide legal support:

  • to embed the LEGO Group’s dedication to respect human rights in policies, contracts and other documents and initiatives.

  • for continuous human rights due diligence efforts, including work with human rights impact assessments, follow-ups and associated documentation.

  • for reporting on human rights and sustainability.

  • act as the go-to legal resource concerning human rights for the Responsible Sourcing and relevant business teams e.g. Procurement, Licensing and Extended Line.

  • assist on other sustainability related legal tasks on an ad hoc basis.

Play your part in our team succeeding

The IPRELM team is advising on certain legal aspects of LEGO Group sustainability journey, and working closely with other key collaborators across the organization in this respect.

Do you have what it takes?

Law degree at Master level; Qualifying bar exam in any jurisdiction is not a requirement.

  • 3-5 years of experience working with minimum safeguards alignment and related reporting, implementation into business context e.g. contracts in an international law firm and/or an international business enterprise;

  • Deep knowledge of international human and labour rights as well as environmental topics;

  • Strong collaborative and partner management skills.

  • Good understanding of supply chain operations in a large international brand company.
