Job Type: Full-time with overtime

Experience: ACI Certified

Reports to: QC Director, supervisory responsibility

Wage: $60,000-$65,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary:

A Quality Control Tech will manage and assist with field operations and processes within a specific region. Experience is integral to exciting projects, such as building roads, bridges, houses, commercial buildings, and everything in between, and working with different contractors and projects daily. Take ownership of your role by checking for concrete quality, assisting with design or product codes, maintaining courteous customer relations, and working with a team that feels like family.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete site visits to production facilities to monitor the quality of the products and ensure proper calibrations.

  • Oversee testing on aggregates and concrete to troubleshoot, identify, correct, and prevent quality control issues.

  • Review daily logs of quality control operations and ensure proper maintenance of field and laboratory equipment.

  • Coordinate with the QC Director on Quality Control related items, such as issues, trends, and/or projects.

  • Maintain good relations with plant personnel, customers, engineering technicians, supervisors, etc.

  • Be a leader in fostering the company philosophy of safety as a core value and ensure effective implementation of safety programs while maintaining compliance with DOT, OSHA, and MSHA regulations.

  • Complete all required paperwork and administrative duties, and QMS recordkeeping, using computers, tablets, or cell phones to ensure proper accounting and timekeeping practices are executed (pre-trip inspections, time reporting, truck reports, trip tickets, etc.).

  • Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.

Position Requirements:

  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.

  • State DOT certifications

  • At least 2 years of experience.

  • Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.

  • A positive attitude ensures productive working relationships with co-workers and management.

  • Continuous exposure to weather elements, including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.

  • Overnight travel is not standard but may be required.
