Senior software developer – embedded and more

We are looking for a new addition to our R&D Software team at RaySafe in Nya Hovås/Gothenburg with a senior Software Developer for our advanced test devices and related software. The test devices we develop are used to check that X-Ray machines, infusion pumps and many other important equipment at hospitals are performing correctly and are safe to use for both patients and hospital staff.

This role is an onsite position with the possibility of some hybrid work in agreement with the team.

The company

RaySafe is a part of Fluke Health Solutions (FHS). We develop and deliver industry-leading measurement equipment, mainly used in healthcare. In our new facility in Nya Hovås, we are around 100 employees and have both R&D and Operations, enabling us to collaborate closely across departments. The team

The software development team currently has 4 senior developers working closely together with a wide range of technologies and products, with focus both on usability, clean technical solutions, security etc. The team works with everything from sensor firmware close to hardware, embedded advanced software running on rich OS, all the way to PC applications supporting the devices. This is done in projects involving the entire R&D team in Nya Hovås, that is 20+ persons covering everything from UX design, mechanics, electrical layout, sensor technology work, testing etc. RaySafe R&D has gathered the best engineers to develop innovations using latest science. Openness is a key at this inspiring workplace. User friendliness combined with state-of-the-art technology and maximum accuracy form the backbone of the RaySafe product range.

We are also collaborating with our FHS teams in US and India.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for delivery and quality all the way from pre-work, software architecture design to implementation of the software for new test devices.

• Embedded software development, currently mainly working in following technologies:

• On embedded Linux devices (which is the main focus for this role):

• JavaScript, Typescript, Node.Js, React

• Qt,

• MongoDb,

• REST API (using and developing)

• Linux

• For firmware development closer to hardware:

• C

• FreeRTOS

• Technologies for UX on limited CPU

• Some hardware related work (electronics)

• Work with Cyber security requirements, scanning and solutions for the devices developed

• Contribute to maintenance and troubleshooting of existing products.
