Biddeford School Department is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician

Brief Job Duties:The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
To help maintain the physical school plant in its entirety, in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times. This includes maintaining safe conditions and adherences to buidling codes with a special focus on carpentry issues and projects.
Examine district-owned facilities on a regular basis for purposes of preventive maintenance/safety issues.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds, climb ladders, do snow removal, and be capable of doing various physical job functions.
May be required to fill in for custodial personnel as necessary
Full Job Description
Certification/License:Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education
Valid State of Maine Drivers License, Class B preferred but not required
Experience:7-10 years of successful full-time general trade experience (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, landscaping, painting, etc.) preferred.
Trade licenses are desirable.
