About The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Real Estate Accountant for an exciting opportunity working on-site in Beverly Hills. Contributors in this role assist the team by collaboratively producing financials and reporting in accordance with industry standards.

What You'll Do:

  • Review and process accounts payable and receivable, entering relevant information into accounting databases and troubleshooting issues proactively.

  • Analyze financial transactions for accuracy and completion.

  • Close month-end accounting books, including reconciliation of balance sheet and profit and loss statements.

  • Prepare accounting statements and financial reports such as income statements and balance sheets for mid-to-large size markets.

  • Analyze accounting variances and prepare variance explanation reports.

  • Prepare and review projections to predict efficacy of proposed changes on income and financial condition.

  • Examine finance statements and documents for conformance with accounting requirements and principles.

  • Build month-end accounting entries, reconcile discrepancies, post to general ledger, and review budget variances.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

  • 4+ years of professional real estate accounting experience is required.

  • Practical experience collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, with the ability to prepare clear, concise financial reports.

  • Ample experience translating financial issues for layperson understanding.

  • Robust knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations.

  • Sophisticated understanding of accounting and bookkeeping concepts. Experience assisting with budget and forecast preparation.

  • Follows accounting practices to ensure optimum client satisfaction while guaranteeing protection of CBRE's financial interests.

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range for this role is $$85,000- $95,000 with a 10% discretionary target bonus. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
