DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Production Chemist to join our team located in Bethlehem, PA.
The Production Chemist is responsible for operating the production processes. Operations are to be performed in a safe manner following all GMP medical gas procedures, OSHA PSM procedures, EPA RMP procedures and Corporate Safety policies and procedures.

What you will be doing: * Under the routine direction of supervision, operator will be responsible for or expected to: * Work autonomously with occasional supervisory review * Operate manufacturing fill processes under GMP conditions for medical fill operations * Maintain compliance with all external regulatory agencies including FDA GMP, DOT, EPA, OSHA, DHS, as well as all Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. policies and procedures * Processes medical and industrial gas cylinders using established plant guidelines and procedures * Maintain empty and full cylinder quantities, styles and product, and fill any necessary product * Operates and maintain process equipment * Interface with maintenance technicians and vendors associated with fill equipment * Be able to engage any resources needed to handle safe startup, shutdown, and resolution of abnormal situations for the filling processes * Oversee a variety of complex operations and duties in a production's environment * Operate equipment and provide recommendations for performance improvements * Performs visual and physical tests on each cylinder before filling and determines whether retesting and/or repairs are required * Completes and maintains quality control documentation as per company and Governmental procedures * Support safety and quality departments by ensuring all employees comply with safety requirements including following established safety protocols, turning in all required safety and quality training materials and signatures as assigned, weekly, quarterly, or annually * Other duties as assigned What makes you great: * 4-year technical degree with emphasis on chemistry and math or equivalent work or industry experience * Able to read, write legibly, perform basic math functions, and possess mechanical aptitude * Must be able to roll 200+ lb. cylinders and lift 50lbs * Able to work in indoor and outdoor conditions throughout the year * Able to work flexible hours (2-3 hours of starting and quitting times)
