Newly Weds Foods Lift Truck Driver (Warehouse/Shipping/Receiving) in BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania

Essential Duties:

  • Works under direction of the Warehouse Manager and immediate supervisor as a team member responsible to maintain department warehouse activities in both shipping and receiving as assigned. Will be scheduled daily and assigned weekends as business warrants.
  • Works closely with Quality Control and other departments on any ingredient issues.
  • Works closely with all other Supervisors and Managers as warranted.   Flexible to meet needs of business.  Employee is required to regularly speak, read, write, walk, stand, stoop, sit, lift and reach.
  • Qualified candidate must be able to load and unload materials within the warehouse facilities by hand truck, forklift and/or motor truck.  Will be responsible to stack, retrieve product, document, scan and maintain computer systems ensuring warehouse is maintained for organization and cleanliness. 
  • Candidate will receive/ship, unpack, check and store materials/merchandise in a manner to meet company standards.  Must be able to recognize hazardous conditions, take necessary safety precautions and react appropriately.  Must be able to learn and follow all known established procedures and guidelines of NWF shipping department.
  • Candidate will obtain product from bins or shelves and ensures completeness and correctness of all orders filled to ensure all orders arrive and are dispatched on time to appropriate destinations in a time-sensitive, multi-priority warehouse environment. 
  • Experienced forklift certification required.  Position requires an independent worker who is team oriented and possesses good people skills both verbal and written.  Professional, is customer focused and results oriented.  Able to speak and write, multi-task and add value to our Warehouse team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  2. Proven record for quality, productivity, safety and attendance relates.  Thorough work knowledge of work / Warehouse processes and company policies and procedures.
  3. Must successfully pass required testing if warranted.
  4. Must be a full time employee not in a probationary period.
