SECURITY TEAM LEAD

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Security Team Lead, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Security Team Lead joining our team to analyze design, develop, implement, and support code, working under limited supervision.
HOW A SECURITY TEAM LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Administer, maintain and operate end point management utilities (Altiris, BigFix and/or JAMF) to install and maintain software on 2000 workstations in response to vulnerabilities in existing installations
Create and administer Group Policy Objects to enforce NIH security baseline configurations
Monitor and respond to vulnerabilities reported through Tenable Security Center and other utilities.
Research and evaluate new security technologies
Stay current on existing cybersecurity risks and threats facing health organizations.
Create custom scripts for deployment, for remediation of issues, in conjunction with software deployments, or as standalone utilities
Provide tier three support for Desktop Support/Service Desk for application and operating system security incident remediation
Document and evaluate security issues and their workarounds or solutions using ServiceNow incidents.
Create change records using ServiceNow for all changes made to endpoints
Responsible for creating and maintaining certification and accreditation documentation for all endpoint management utilities
Managing group policies
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education :
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related business or technical discipline.
Required Experience :
- 8+ years of relevant technical experience.
Required Skills & Abilities :
Windows and macOS application packaging and deployment, using large scale system management tools to manage software deployments for a user base of approximately 2000 internal and external customers
Ability to correctly read and interpret Windows system, application logs and third-party application log files.
Knowledge of batch file scripting, Windows Powershell Scripting, Visual Basic scripting and Bash/Shell Scripting.
Experience using Tenable Security Center
Experience using McAfee ePO
Experience creating executive summaries of ongoing and potential security risks and threats
Experience working with change control in a large enterprise environment
Active CISSP Certification
Preferred Skills:
SCCM, Absolute Manage- prior Altiris/Symantec/BigFix/Tivoli experience
ITIL v4 certification
Previous team leadership experience
Security Clearance Level :
- Ability to obtain and maintain an NIH Public Trust clearance
Location : Bethesda, MD/Hybrid work schedule (This is not a remote position)

The likely salary range for this position is $75,650 - $102,350. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
