The FLEX Manager, IT Business Support Analyst is part of the Technology Experience Center’s Business Systems Transformation team which is responsible for leading the execution of transformational work. A critical part of an initiative team, this role will support the design and implementation of a modern service desk to achieve optimal resource management, increased customer satisfaction, and operational excellence by way of shifting from application to functional skills in alignment with our Digital Technology Transformation.
This resource will support the organizational and operating model redesign, responsible for activities such as forecasting workload capacity by role, building complex workflow diagrams, defining support analyst skills, and building mechanisms to measure analyst proficiencies.
The role will also support technology team members in a business analyst capacity, ensuring technology solutions meet requirements by coordinating with stakeholders to understand and define requirements, evaluate potential solutions and support design, development, testing and implementation of agreed upon solutions. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, product and project leadership to foster decision-making and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess excellent critical thinking skills, be adept at building relationships, and demonstrate the ability to proactively manage multiple and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification
4+ years experience in business/system analysis working with IT to support the execution of projects
Demonstrated ability to translate client/stakeholder needs into technology requirements, creatively approach solutions, and influence appropriate courses of action
Demonstrated experience creating business and technical process flows and supporting process documentation
Demonstrated ability to perform data analysis and modeling using tools (eg., PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, etc) in order to forecast volume, staffing and budget.
Experience building reports and analyzing data with PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, JIRA and Confluence
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, impeccable organization, and unsurpassed attention to detail
Strong process management, influencing, and problem resolution skills
Experience writing user stories, inclusive of acceptance criteria
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Preferred:
Experience with ServiceNow Incident Management and Reporting
Experience identifying and analyzing alternative solutions to complex business requirements and providing guidance and advice
Experience with applying and implementing Agile/Scrum principles
Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others
Excellent analytical skills where problems are very unusual and difficult
Thrives in a highly collaborative, matrixed, complex, fast paced environment
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Participates and may help facilitate business requirements analysis and functional design work sessions including creating business presentations, communications, and documentation
Contributes to functional design including demonstrations to stakeholders to assist with validating approach
Leverages data to determine impacts to volume, costs, and quality as pertained to the changes implemented.
Helps identify creative solutions to business requirements, analyzes alternatives, and provides recommendations
Works with internal and external stakeholders to obtain additional insights, approaches, and demonstrations of solutions
Works with the Global IT and other Marriott stakeholders during development to help clarify functional requirements and support functional design
Consults with training team to support development of training, as appropriate
Works with Project Managers and project leadership/stakeholders to support Agile and project management activities as directed
Identifies opportunities to enhance the business partnership and planning processes
Effectively executes other duties as assigned

The pay range for this position is $40.81 to $68.51 per hour.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
