Full-time Lifeguard, Bethel, AK
The Yukon Kuskokwim Fitness Center , managed by HealthFitness, has an opportunity for a Lifeguard in Bethel, Alaska & we are willing to train! Our Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons, observing and enforcing rules and regulations, responding quickly to emergencies, administering first aid to injured patrons, and communicating with staff and management. In this role, you'll attend in-service training programs, perform cleaning and maintenance duties in and around the pool area, and assist Management with other duties as assigned. YKFC's Lifeguards monitor and ensure a safe and friendly environment for all the aquatic facility members and guests. Other duties as needed/assigned. Schedule includes some evening & weekend shifts, 30-40 hours per week.
What You'll Need:
Current American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard certification required by hire date (or applicants can be enrolled in Lifeguard Training).
Must be at least 18 years old.
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with patrons of all ages.
Ability tonavigateelectronic onboarding and timecard systems.
