Philips Solutions Architect in Best, Netherlands

Translate business strategy into deployable solution architecture, initiates and supervises the implementation for breakthrough innovations in Robotic Procedure Automation. In Breakthrough Innovation Teams (BRITE) high-potential breakthrough innovations are nurtured and grown through rigorous milestone driven funding and strategic management.

Your role:

  • Developing industry-shifting robotic procedure automation that will delight current and future customers and propel Philips forward as a transformative health-tech company.

  • Creating the overall technical vision for robotic procedure automation including defining the architecture strategy, establishing the solution requirements and design, and delivering an optimal and consolidated solution architecture. Identifying opportunities and building external relationship to evaluate scenarios for partnerships or outsourcing.

  • Working with customers, suppliers, R&D leadership and architects, product and solution management to define and design a solution (incl. solution intent, information models, and documentation requirements) and ensuring fitness of purpose by focusing on consumer needs, seamless integration with other Philips products and technological competitiveness.

  • Working with the BRITE leader to drive progress, overcome operational obstacles, and regularly report on status. Contributing to defining milestones and resourcing for stage gating rounds with transparent, fact-based reports and scenarios/recommendations for next steps. Delivering on those milestones with the utmost attention to quality.

  • Collaborating cross-functionally across Philips, especially with Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Systems and Devices to leverage internal capabilities and knowledge. 15% travel anticipated.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 10+ years of experience in defining and driving solution architecture including creating architectural runways, defining interfaces, delivering solution requirements, risk assessments, IP assessments, technology scenarios and budget/effort estimations. Prior experience in robotics preferred. Prior experience with Philips interventional x-ray system architecture (like Allura, Azurion) required.

  • You can understand and put (future) customer needs and customer experiences at the forefront of all activities. You are skilled at translating customer needs into requirements

  • You excel at cross-functional collaboration and have a results-driven attitude to raise the bar continuously and thrive throughout turbulent environments. You have a track record of building internal and external networks and partnerships to accelerate the speed of innovation

  • You’ve received a Bachelor or Master in Mechanical/Computer/Systems Engineering or similar
