Philips Solution Catalog Advisor in Best, Netherlands

In this role, you will be supporting our businesses/solution owners to create, maintain, improve, and advise on the standards for product and catalog data across Philips business processes; you will also be involved in business transformation initiatives.

The Commercial Configuration and Product Data Management is part of the complex product data domain. Philips is going through a tremendous change and is growing towards new business models; more from a box & sell business towards selling integrated propositions and solutions.

The Solution and Catalog advisory role is helping transform the catalog and product setup across Philips in meeting the demands of the new business models i.e. software, integrated solutions, integrated services, pay per use, pay per subscription etc. Thinking out of the box, working very closely with the businesses, transformation programs, to come up with designs and setting up the solutions. While doing this, creating standards that will land with catalog and product data operations center of excellence team for day-to-day support in all the relevant systems.

Your role:

  • Advising, consulting, and supporting businesses and markets in creating products, services, systems, software, and solutions (Configurable Sales Products) for product and catalog data, meaning:

  • Creating and maintaining the standards on how businesses and solution owners are capturing their needs via standardized templates and how to implement into the IT landscape for global and local market needs,

  • Advising business product managers, marketing managers and specialists on standards,

  • Advising businesses and markets on creation of integrated propositions with products, software, services,

  • Advising the catalog center of excellence for build of market and business needs into factory systems and sales tools,

  • Advising and consulting on best practices for buildup of product configuration in catalog,

  • Optimizing catalog/e2e solutions based on 360 analytics,​

  • Supporting projects and programs as we go through business transformation and implementing the future ways of working,

  • Driving designing, creating, maintaining and governing product and Commercial catalog,

  • Supporting PQ&M manager, project managers in the engineering change control board (ECCB), and catalog center of excellence, for example advising on the best way to creating and designing C-BOM,

  • Participating in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. Work in close cooperation with Supply Chain, Marketing, Development and engineering stakeholders in these projects. This includes design activities,

  • The Solution and Catalog Advisor is logically E2E responsible for commercial catalog changes made, with GBS team in India handling data entry.

You are a part of

The Global Business Services Organization and report directly to one of the GBS Product Data Management teamleads. Given the nature of the job you will be working closely with many stakeholders in the Philips Health Systems Business Units and Markets that take part in the Product Data Management processes and new business introduction processes. You will be part of a team of enthusiastic colleagues.

You're the right fit if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the areas of engineering or computer science and/or strong affinity with business-, mechanical or electronics engineering,

  • 5+ years’ experience with product master data and/or experience and functional knowledge of systems within the business that would be: generating quote, generating order, transfer from quote to order, account management, asset management, contract management, order management, and pricing,

  • 3+ years’ experience in international, large size / complex business environment , capable of supporting multiple businesses at the same time,

  • Philips’ business knowledge and experience is a plus,

  • Knowledge and experience in the area of Product Configuration Management is strongly preferred,

  • Knowledge and understanding of other disciplines – Marketing, Regulatory, Development and Supply Chain – since you will be collaborating with them frequently, is a pré,

  • Preferred at least 3 years of experience working in regulated environments (i.e. FDA regulations) such as Medical Devices ,

  • Understanding of the E2E business processes around configuration management , and configure, price and quote (CPQ) across businesses and markets,

  • Experience in Lean and Daily Management Methodologies,

  • Experience in Project Management , using skills to organize, evaluate, and communicate to a broader audience,

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, the ability to actively manage the relationships with stakeholders, improvement attitude, reviewing and auditing techniques,

  • Analytical with strong conceptualization skills but also willing to do hands-on operational tasks.
