AscellaHealth Marketing Content Specialist in Berwyn, Pennsylvania

What we are looking for

AscellaHealth is looking for a Marketing Content Specialist to join their Marketing department to curate, craft, and write marketing content that captivates and engages the audience and helps to shape our brand message. They will be tasked with the creation of written content – blogs, articles, eBooks, white papers, social media copy, website and infographic copy that builds trust and loyalty with AscellaHealth’s customers and prospective customers while engaging and informing them and the industry as a whole.

This position is a hybrid position with 3 days per week in our Berwyn, PA office as a focus, but also work from home opportunities.

What the position will be doing

  • Distill complex concepts and language into content that is easily understood and aligns with our tone of voice and brand.

  • Conduct in-depth research on industry-related topics to develop original content.

  • Create compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of our target audience within the life sciences and payer markets.

  • Create compelling and effective copy for marketing materials, such as social media posts, emails, podcasts/webinars, blogs, articles, white papers, services descriptions, collateral, the company website, etc.

  • Edit and proofread marketing materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Edit and polish existing content to ensure voice, grammar and style is on point and to improve readability.

  • Incorporate SEO strategies and best practices to optimize marketing content and increase traffic to the company website.

  • Collaborate with other departments internally to create cohesive marketing materials.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging, branding, and style. Work with the Marketing project manager to follow processes and protocols which support appropriate versioning of materials.

  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in marketing copywriting to support content development.

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the company’s marketing copywriting process.

  • Propose copy concepts in an engaging way and carry out projects once they are approved.

  • Identify gaps in content and recommend new topics. Collaborate with the team to propose topics for inclusion in monthly payer and pharma topic calendars.

  • Create and schedule posts for multiple social media channels.

  • Assist with coordination and development of all communications needed for events including digital and printed invitations, marketing materials signage, etc.

  • Measure and report the success of marketing materials using metrics such as website traffic, email opens, and conversations.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remaining flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.

    Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, communications, English or a related field.

  • 2 or more years of experience working as a copywriter for an in-house marketing department or creative agency.

  • Proven experience writing for different marketing channels including web, email, print, social media, etc.

  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical and/or payer content marketing.

  • Experience creating well-structured, optimized content for target audiences.

  • Familiarity with web publication software and tools.

  • Proven ability to weave compelling, engaging copy for any format or style.

  • Ability to provide strong writing samples (i.e. web copy, blogs, emails, whitepapers).

  • Experience writing AI prompts, fact-checking and ensuring quality content.

  • Experience with SEO/SEM tools such as Google Analytics.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Ability to be highly transparent, ethical, and driven. Relentless attention to detail, and the ability to be a creative self-starter and team player.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

  • Exceptional oral and written skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and ability to work closely with other departments.

  • Ability to think and act independently, formulate, and support new ideas, and champion new initiatives within and beyond the scope of own responsibilities.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
