AscellaHealth Director of Marketing - Payer in Berwyn, Pennsylvania

What we are looking for

AscellaHealth is looking for a Director of Marketing to provide implementation and oversight of our marketing and communications management strategy and daily operations for our Payer/Health plan segment.  They will work closely with the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer to develop and execute marketing strategies that enhance brand positioning, drive customer engagement, and align with the organizational strategic objectives contributing to lead generation and new business. This role requires the ability to work most of the time down in the trenches while also possessing the ability to play an impactful role within our company, ensuring that complex and multi-faceted strategies are executed successfully and on time.

The Director of Marketing position is intended to be a hybrid position with occasional office attendance in our Berwyn, PA office and we are open to remote locations with the expectation of travel to the Philadelphia area, our other office locations, and industry events.

What the position will be doing

  • Design, plan, execute, and monitor the implementation of effective marketing campaigns and other marketing efforts across channels (digital, press, etc.)

  • Create and implement content strategies based on business objectives, category focus, and audience segments across all channels (online/offline/social).

  • Support the building of brand awareness and work to generate innovative ideas to promote our brand and products. Monitor the use of brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels.

  • Develop, plan, and implement metrics to measure marketing projects and campaign effectiveness and client (internal/external) satisfaction.

  • Provide oversight and reporting for the overall marketing budget. Working closely with the Marketing Project Manager and Sr. Specialist to ensure the budget numbers are up to date and provide regular monthly, quarterly, and yearly budget reporting to the CMO.

  • Support market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market forecasts and reports.

  • Assist with the planning and implementation of key marketing events confirming materials, logistics, and staffing are in place to ensure successful execution.

  • Assist with the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new staff.

  • Lead and coach a high-performing marketing team. This includes the oversight and establishment of team and individual goals both long and short-term, while ensuring opportunities for training and career growth.

  • Foster cross-team coordination and collaboration with other departments within the organization.

  • Attend and participate in networking groups, trade shows, academic training, and other industry events.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market intelligence. Apply knowledge and suggest new ideas to improve product development and distribution, customer and prospect segmentation, and reporting functionality.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remaining flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.

    Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or similar, relevant field is required. A Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Five (5) or more years of experience as a Marketing Director or related leadership position within the Specialty Pharmacy, Pharma/biotech manufacturing, and/or healthcare services industry.

  • 10 or more years of overall healthcare marketing experience is helpful.

  • Proven experience and success in strategic planning and the design/implementation of marketing campaigns.

  • Social media and digital marketing experience including LinkedIn, LinkedIn advertising campaigns, and keyword search campaigns a plus.

  • Demonstrated success in implementing/ managing multiple marketing initiatives with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Client and agency-side experience within healthcare is also a plus.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems.

  • Ability to be highly transparent, ethical, and driven. Relentless attention to detail, and the ability to be a creative self-starter and team player.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations are necessary.

  • Exceptional oral and written skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and ability to work closely with Senior Management

  • Ability to think and act independently, formulate, and support new ideas, and champion new initiatives within and beyond the scope of own responsibilities.

  • Ability to ensure tasks are appropriately delegated and completed to standards by monitoring performance and holding staff accountable.

  • Ability to organize resources, personnel, and actions for the successful completion of programs and tasks.

  • Ability to provide direction and motivation and set an example through open communication and modeling best practices.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
