ABOUT THIS ROLE

Based in Berlin, Audible GmbH is looking for a Localization and EU Production Operations Manager. This role is part of our Content Planning and Operations group (CPO) and manages crucial aspects of production operations and slate management for Audible Studios, Programming and Content Marketing for the EU businesses. This includes update meetings with relevant stakeholders to ensure release and payment trackers data is correct and can be trusted. You are a logical thinker that translates operations and business needs into a leading-edge, customer-focused solutions, and you are comfortable creating solutions for ambitious ideas in ambiguous environments.

As a Localization and EU Production Operations Manager, you will...

  • Work with stakeholder teams to manage their production pipeline and ensure that deadlines are met and all necessary steps of the production process are completed

  • Ensure that each project’s credits, deliverables, marketing obligations, and distributions match the contract provisions consistent with company policies

  • Monitor and manage receipt of invoices from productions, ensuring that all production papers are paid or reimbursed in a timely manner

  • Possess expert organizational, managerial, and communication skills, with proven ability to handle multiple projects and deliver results

  • Oversee asset management from requests to tracking across the content creation process

  • Facilitate onboarding third party vendors and partner with Producers to develop these relationships including graphic designers, illustrators, copyeditors, and factcheckers

  • Ensure all third party vendors are paid in a timely manner

  • Coordinate effectively among cross-functional teams, particularly Audible’s audio production, merchandising, deal-making, marketing, metadata, and public relations teams, to ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner

  • Work with internal stakeholders to adjust product release schedules accordingly. Communicate changes across multiple teams including content lifecycle, production, finance, and marketing teams

  • Deliver the entire suite of assets (audio, copy, promotional materials, artwork, table of contents, metadata, budget, localization assets, etc.) to the content lifecycle team and request preorder pages

  • Develop and maintain the overall production schedule including setting timelines with each producer on every project in pre-production, production, and post-production

  • Work with producers to assist in securing and tracking agreements, clearances and all supporting documentation for projects in development and production

  • Manage projects from project kick-off to release in multiple languages, coordinating project milestones and disseminating project information with global project stakeholders

  • Drive high quality output from localization vendors & freelancers

  • Serve as an in-house product expert for localization launches, ensuring standardized processes across regional Production and Marketing teams, in close collaboration with Production Operations

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in Media Entertainment and/or localization project management working on multi-language launches, creative content and/or subtitle localization

  • Experience in operations

  • Experience with localization processes and tools

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in French

  • Strong project management skills

  • Demonstrated bias for action with strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask

  • Ability to learn new/proprietary systems and technologies

  • Passion for building a global content offering

  • Expertise in data mining, data management, reporting

  • Flexible, collaborative, self-directed, and accustomed to grace under pressure in lean environments

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate complex technical issues in a simple, non-technical manner to relevant stakeholders
