The Ground Support Equipment On-Platform Electrical Engineering and Design Team in St. Louis, MO is looking for an Engineer to work with our RF/EW (Radio Frequency / Electronic Warfare) team. As a team member, the candidate will work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements, coordinate work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications, work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. The candidate will oversee the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements, solve problems concerning equipment design, and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. The candidate will also research technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Makes recommendations for technology investments. The team is primarily responsible for USAF programs/platforms (F-15, B-52, T-7, etc.) for domestic, foreign, and commercial sales.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Development and documentation of electrical subsystems

  • Performing system qualification tests to verify operational and functional requirements

  • Supporting the resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies

  • Supplier coordination

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree

  • 1+ years of experience in the field of RF electronics, RF/Microwave test, and phased array electronics

  • 3+ years of experience accurately and productively reviewing, commenting, resolving and approving technical designs and data packages

  • 3+ years of experience developing requirements for systems engineering processes

  • 3+ years of communication experience both written and verbal, with public speaking and frequent interactions with senior-level management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in avionics troubleshooting

  • Experience with automated test equipment

  • Experience working on military aircraft

Education/experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $96,050 – $129,950
