Our client in Berkeley is seeking an interim Accounting Manager for a 3+ month engagement. In this role, you will be handling crucial accounting tasks, including maintaining accurate records and processing financial data. Your role also involves resolving inquiries related to accounts and ensuring appropriate action on customer accounts. This position is 100% remote and offers the possibility for contract to hire. The pay range is $50-$65/hr. depending on experience and location.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes

• Handling and processing financial data with precision

• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring the integrity of accounting data

• Using NetSuite for various accounting procedures

• Understanding and applying GAAP Accounting principles

• Managing inventory accounting and related tasks

• Gaining expertise in the CPG/Food/Beverage industry accounting norms

• Dealing with customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction

• No direct reports, but the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Being prepared to start as soon as possible.

Requirements • Applicant must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in the Accounting field.

• Proficiency in NetSuite software is a must.

• Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is necessary.

• Mastery in Inventory Accounting is required.

• Familiarity with the Manufacturing Industry is expected.

• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of GAAP Accounting is essential.
