Robert Half Procurement Manager in Bergen County, New Jersey

Description

They are a leading and employee-friendly metals manufacturer located in Bergen County, NJ, seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our highly skilled team. This dynamic role requires outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions that push boundaries.

Requirements:

• Supervise and assist in the purchase, receipt and distribution of raw materials, equipment, packaging requirements and supplies.

• Place orders with vendors and schedule and coordinate bulk deliveries with vendors.

• Review and determine the appropriate method of procurement.

• Establish procurement plans and schedules in accordance with best practices and company policies.

• Prepare, review and processing of requisitions and purchase orders.

• Ensure bulk shipments are listed and kept up to date using a shipping/delivery schedule.

• Ensure vendor/product files are kept up to date reflecting accurate (current) costs.

• Review open order report and expedite orders as needed.

• Work with A/P regarding any invoice pricing discrepancies.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Lead and execute sourcing activities for assigned categories while maintaining compliance with company guidelines

• Analyze and monitor market trends, supplier landscape and innovation/trends for respective categories

• Ensure proper alignment with internal customers on business needs

• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure maximum value while taking into consideration TCO (total cost of ownership), service, and quality

• Manage and maintain relationship with suppliers, optimizing the company’s suppliers base

• Collaborate and support the central procurement team in executing strategic sourcing activities for categories assigned

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• Excellent organization skills

• Must be detail oriented

• Minimum experience: 5+ years’ procurement experience

• Intuitive; self-motivated (driven), self-starter

• Skillful listener, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

• Professional demeanor and positive attitude

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

• Preferred but not required: Experience with Dropbox, Adobe, Salespad
