Actalent Quality Engineer in Berea, Kentucky

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to develop and maintain quality systems, facilitate root cause analysis, assist in supplier development, and ensure customer satisfaction. The role involves inspection activities for incoming components and finished products, quality support for PSW production runs, and interfacing with customers for quality documentation. The Quality Engineer will also train technicians, support other departments, and work on continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Quality Systems.
Facilitate root cause analysis.
Assist in supplier development.
Visit customers as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
Conduct inspection activities for incoming components and finished products.
Provide quality support for PSW production runs.
Interface with customers for meetings and transfer of quality documentation.
Train technicians in Quality Measurement techniques and reporting.
Provide support and data to other departments as necessary.
Work to reduce defects in area of responsibility through cross-functional continuous improvement teams.
Cooperate with all other personnel as necessary.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly Quality reports for the Q.A. Supervisor.
Track continuous improvement through measurable reports and graphs.
Conduct daily scrap meetings and produce weekly scrap reports.
Use common Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint at an above-average skill level.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a technical area of study.
Ability to work from engineering specifications, manuals, drawings, and established procedures.
Proficiency in using a variety of precision measuring equipment.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Basic supervisory skills.
Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, 8-D corrective action, and DOE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46
