Fahe Disaster Resilience Case Manager Associate in Berea, Kentucky

Disaster Resilience Case Manager Associate The Disaster Resilience Case Manager Associate will conduct program outreach, client intake, and eligibility review for Disaster Recovery housing programs in eastern Kentucky. This position will report to Fahe’s Disaster Resilience Director and will be responsible for engagement with program partners, including local governments, developers, and clients. Department: Programs - Disaster ResilienceSupervisor: Director of Disaster ResilienceType of Position: Part-time*Depending on program needs, this position may have the opportunity to expand to a full-time role. However, the duration of the position is dependent on the programmatic needs.Supervisory Responsibilities:Yes/No: NoNumber of Staff reporting to this person: 0Anticipated Travel Requirements and Classification:Yes/No: YesFrequency: Frequent travel in East KY requiredExpected Travel Area: Eastern KYDescription of Travel: “Remote Long Distance” travel classification is anticipated. Will have frequent/regular travel in and around Eastern KY’s flood affected counties (including in Knott, Letcher, Perry, Floyd, and Breathitt), and it is preferred for staff person to be located central to these areas.☒ Driver’s License Required? Work Setting: Remote Duties/Responsibilities:Conduct outreach and intake activities for clients participating in disaster recovery programs; review income and eligibility documentation for applicants; effectively communicate criteria to clients and navigate clients through program checkpoints.Provide customer service and regular communication to team, clients, contractors, and program partners. Through training, familiarize with program regulations and eligibility criteria to ensure compliance. Maintain best practices for Personally Identifying Information and client confidentiality.Report data through system of record; work with Disaster Resilience Compliance Specialist to Quality Control files and maintain accurate client dataSupport other Fahe Disaster Resilience team activities as required and participate in regular team meetings. Preferred Skills and Abilities:☒ Client and Relationship Building and Management☒ Collecting, analyzing and evaluating data☒ Salesforce/CRM Software Experience☒ Sales and Promotion of Services via Community Engagement Minimum-Required Education and Experience:Education: High School DiplomaYears and Type of Experience: 1-2 years of case management experience Preferred Education and Experience:Education: Associates DegreeYears and Type of Experience: 1-2 years of working with grant funded programs or state/federal projectsFamiliarity with CDBG-Disaster Recovery or FEMA programs, nonprofit client services or case management, and Salesforce or other systems of record used for managing client/case infoLicenses/Certifications: ☒ Disaster Case Management CertificationPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up-to 15 pounds at times.
