This is an onsite role based in Bentonville, Arkansas; a full relocation package is available, but we are not considering remote candidates at this time.

The Accelerated Pickup and Delivery team works closely with robotics and automation, to come up with innovative ideas to serve our customers. Imagine your Walmart order being fulfilled 100% by robots, and you are the one to make that happen, by enabling the technology and tech products behind it.

What is a Accelerated Pickup and Delivery

We are implementing fully automated robotic systems which can store, pick, and dispense items ordered by Walmart customers including grocery and general merchandise. APDs (also known as Market fulfillment Centers) are a keystone to enable our customers to save money and time so that they can live better. In our current world, eCommerce has scaled immensely, and the reduction of touches on supply chain is key for a scalable operation.

What are we looking for?

  • Supply Chain Management experience, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Technology Product Management, Program Management, Distribution or Ecommerce Fulfillment background

  • Automation & Robotics experience preferred

  • Cross-functional team influence and management

  • Supply Chain Operations Management

The Director, Automation Engineering will be responsible for leading a team of engineers that design, implement, integrate and improve operational automation and fulfillment processes.

This team is responsible for:

  • Implementing and integrating automation systems into a retail environment.

  • Partnering closely with operational, implementation, real estate, technical, and strategic partners to identify problems and define solutions.

  • Supporting the design of the physical layout of the operational space surrounding the automation to ensure efficient operational flow can be achieved.

  • Defining and consulting on operational system requirements to support associate and leader interactions and management of the system.

Candidate will need to be able to be a strong people leader that can develop their team to be able to identify operational challenges, construct / deconstruct processes, access multiple data sources and pull together for analysis to troubleshoot, and ensure systematic, physical, and process roadblocks are removed to enable operational success.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 5 years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area. Option 2: 7

years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.

3 years' supervisory experience.
